APEL vs APCL
APEL covers learning from work, projects and life experience. APCL covers learning evidenced by formal certificates, professional qualifications or completed academic units. Most universities use both frameworks together.
Why it matters
For experienced professionals, APEL and APCL can shorten the route to a recognised qualification by translating real expertise into academic credit, where the receiving institution agrees.
