About Us

    Independent Academic Consultancy

MYUNI helps prospective students navigate university admissions, eligibility and recognition of prior learning — with the same depth of expertise we bring to advising institutions.

    Our Mission

To give every prospective student honest, expert academic guidance on where they can study, what their qualifications are worth, and how to progress — independent of any single university's recruitment interests.

    Our Vision

A higher-education landscape where every learner — regardless of background, country or prior experience — has a clear, evidence-based path into the right university programme for them.

    Who We Are

MYUNI is an independent academic consultancy supporting individuals and institutions navigating higher education across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United Arab Emirates.

We advise on academic pathways, eligibility, recognition of prior learning, doctoral routes, transnational education and institutional partnerships. We are independent of any single university — our recommendations are based on academic fit and transparency, not commercial recruitment incentives.

MYUNI is not a recruitment agent, visa service or accrediting body. Our role is purely advisory; final decisions rest with the awarding institutions.

    Founder

    Professor David Marrani

At the core of MYUNI is Professor David Marrani, a senior academic and international education strategist with over 20 years of experience across global higher education systems.

His work operates on two complementary levels:

    For Students

Professor Marrani has extensive experience in recruiting and advising international students across a wide range of programmes, including law degrees, double degrees, Master's and PhD pathways. He supports individuals in navigating degree eligibility, fast-track routes, and recognition of prior learning, with a deep understanding of admissions frameworks and cross-border education opportunities.

    For Institutions

He advises universities and higher education providers on transnational education (TNE), the design of double and dual degree structures, and the development of Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) frameworks. His approach focuses on building scalable, internationally relevant programmes aligned with evolving global education markets.

Professor Marrani is Provost and Professor of Law at the International Centre of Law and Business (ICLB), leads the Avant Garde Interdisciplinary Research Group, and serves as series editor for Routledge Research in Constitutional Law. He previously held senior academic roles at the University of Essex and within a University of London International Programme teaching centre.

His combined experience provides MYUNI with a unique position at the intersection of student pathways and institutional strategy—bridging individual ambition with global academic development.
